The Davidson Institute for Talent Development is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to recognizing, nurturing and supporting profoundly gifted young people. The Academy is housed on the campus of Morehead State University.ĭavidson Institute for Talent Development The Craft Academy for Excellence in Science and Mathematics is a dual-credit residential high school for academically exceptional Kentucky students. The Council for Exceptional Children (CEC) advocates for appropriate governmental policies, sets professional standards, provides professional development, advocates for individuals with exceptionalities, and helps professionals obtain conditions and resources necessary for effective professional practice.Ĭraft Academy for Excellence in Science and Mathematics Located on the Western Kentucky University campus in Bowling Green, Kentucky, The Center for Gifted Studies provides exciting educational opportunities for gifted young people, rigorous professional development for teachers, and support for parents of gifted young people. The mission is to offer a residential program for bright, highly motivated Kentucky high school students who have demonstrated interest in pursuing careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Western Kentucky University houses the Carol Martin Gatton Academy of Mathematics and Science in Kentucky. The Institute for Research and Policy on Acceleration (IRPA) is dedicated to the study of curricular acceleration for academically talented students.
